Steatohepatitis Project (SHP)
The Steatohepatitis Project @ UCLA
OUR PURPOSE

The Steatohepatitis Project (SHP) at UCLA is a club focused on liver health advocacy and education. Our mission encompasses conducting liver health screenings in underserved areas of Los Angeles, ensuring information and risk factor screenings are provided to all. We believe that by empowering communities with knowledge, we can create a healthier future for all.
OUR INITIATIVES
Education
We hope to educate and break down social stigmas surrounding liver disease with public fliers, presentations, and handbooks.
Community Outreach
Through activities and health screening events we aim to engage and serve communities at risk of Steatohepatitis.
Research
With the information we obtain at our health screenings, we aim to answer prevalent questions regarding risk factors, most impacted demographics, and. more.
